While Sumit Kaur has done justice to his role, Payana Ravishankar proves lively with dialogue delivery and body language. Perhaps, Prem wanted to give Shivrajkumar a political image, but he fails to balance it well. There is humour, sentiment and also action, which makes the first half impressive. However, an overdose of politics in the second makes you wonder why the director suddenly introduces so many twists. Our hero walks away with equal honours in the romantic sequences too, lighting up dull sequences in the movie.Īrmed with a good script, director Prem has done a wonderful job in narration where Jogayya alias Madesha (Shivrajkumar) works as a labourer in Vidya Gokhale’s (Sumit Kaur Athwal) house with three of his friends. Shivanna puts life into the character of Jogayya and also manages to win sympathy of the audience in his role of a cowshed worker. The ‘hat-trick hero’, in his 100th movie, has put in all his acting experience and emerges a refreshing actor like in his first movie ‘Anand’. Movie Review: It’s Shivrajkumar all the way. You cannot get over the Jogi hangover, especially after watching this movie. Though it looks close to a sequel of the popular Jogi, Prem has brought in several changes and twists to the character - Jogayya. Story:Director Prem has aptly selected a story that showcases Shivrajkumar’s true talent in his 100th movie.
